Embed your application form on your website

Show any live application form in a pop-up on your own website, so applicants apply without leaving it.

You can show any live application form in a pop-up on your own website, so applicants apply without leaving it.

1. List your website #

In Agency Settings, under Websites that may show your application forms, add the address of each website the form will appear on, starting with https://. www.youragency.com and youragency.com are two different websites, so add both if you use both. You can list up to 10.

2. Copy the code #

Open the form and find Embed on your website. Copy the code and paste it into your website where the button should go. The button is yours to style: it's an ordinary button on your page. To show several forms, add one button per form; the script line is needed once.

3. Choose the language (optional) #

The form opens in your website's language where we support it (English, Spanish or Portuguese), otherwise in the visitor's browser language, and otherwise English. To fix it to one language, pick it under Form language before you copy the code.

What applicants see #

Clicking the button opens the form in a pop-up. On phones it fills the screen. They can close it with the × or the Esc key. The pop-up also has an Open in a new tab link to the same form on its usual page.

After someone applies #

They see the same confirmation and reference number as on the form's usual page, and the application appears with your others. To send them to your own thank-you page instead, add data-lap-redirect="https://…" to the button. Your website can also listen for the lap:application-submitted event, for example to count conversions.

If the form doesn't appear #

  • The website isn't on your list, or is listed with a different address (www or not). Applicants then get the Open in a new tab link instead.
  • The form isn't live.
  • Your website blocks scripts or frames from other sites. If your site sets a Content Security Policy, allow https://app.liveagentpro.com in its script-src and frame-src. The pop-up also adds its own styles to your page: if the policy's style-src doesn't allow inline styles ('unsafe-inline'), the pop-up appears without them.
